Hardtail Forever:

As an environmentally conscientious person my favorite part about Hardtail is how they package and produce their product. Everything is made in the United States and arrives at the store in boxes totally packed with clothing; no plastic bags, no paper linings, basically no filler or excess material. As far as environmental packaging for yoga gear goes it is the best I have seen so far. And even though everything is made in the US prices are comparable to the other leading brands.

Most of the Hardtail clothing carried at FIT3 is fairly standard; black, grey, and blue leggings in every length and shape you can imagine for yoga class; as well as tank tops, jackets, and sweatshirts. Some of their items have a little extra design on them such as tie-dye or embroidery. They do have some items a little beyond your typical yoga gear. I was hoping our buyer would get this amazing light sweatshirt material garment that can be worn as a strapless dress (maybe with leggings!?) or a long flowing skirt. Apparently it was not yoga enough for the store but it looked great in the catalogue. My favorite item in store right now is a light, long sleeved, thin wrap-around top. Everyone that has tried it looks great in it! It is soft and makes you feel just so elegant without losing any comfort. Seriously, you could wear it to a party or just throw it on over a tank top when the AC gets too high.

            Here is what I have:

  • Center Roll-down V-slit leggings: Just like Prana the Hard Tail pants are too long (or am I too short?) so I bought a pair of their knee length leggings. I love them. They are highly functional and are flattering on the thighs. I mostly wear them for yoga.

  • Crossover 3x tri capri: My mom also has a pair of knee length pants that she totally rocks. While mine have a small slit at the knee hers have ruched seams. They look great and she seems very comfortable in them even though she can be picky about tight fitting clothing. They can be worn for yoga or under a long top when you want to wear them out.

  • U-scoop tank: A black, sporty top with a built in bra. In general I love this top. It is comfortable, functional, and goes with everything. However, the built-in does not cut it for any kind of physical activity; i.e. yoga, dance, trapeze, hiking… but any typical racer back sports bra easily fits underneath. The sports bra is visible but does not create a mess of strap lines.

Unfortunately you can't buy Hardtail Forever on line. You'll just have to stop into FIT3 to check it out!
